**Dubai Launches Five-Year Visa to Catalyze Tourism from India**

In a significant move aimed at bolstering tourism ties between India and Dubai, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has unveiled a five-year multiple-entry visa. This initiative seeks to foster sustained economic collaborations, promote tourism, and strengthen business relations between the two nations.

The announcement comes amidst a surge in Indian visitors to Dubai, with the city welcoming 2.46 million overnight visitors from India in 2023, marking a notable 25 percent increase from pre-pandemic levels. India emerged as the top source market for Dubai, with a remarkable 34 percent year-on-year growth, solidifying its status as a key contributor to Dubai's tourism sector.

The five-year multiple-entry visa, introduced by DET, is designed to enhance travel convenience and facilitate seamless connectivity between India and Dubai. The visa allows holders to stay in Dubai for up to 90 days per visit, extendable once for a similar period, with a maximum stay of 180 days in a year. Issued within 2-5 working days, the visa symbolizes a significant step towards fostering enduring economic collaborations and promoting tourism exchanges.

Bader Ali Habib, Regional Head of Proximity Markets at Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, hailed the visa initiative as a historic milestone that will deepen economic collaboration and enhance tourism experiences. He emphasized India's pivotal role in driving Dubai's tourism agenda and reaffirmed Dubai's commitment to strengthening ties with the Indian market.

Expressing confidence in Dubai's exceptional flight connectivity, Bader Ali Habib reiterated the city's commitment to the Indian market. He highlighted Dubai's diverse offerings, multicultural ambiance, and abundance of hotels and attractions, underscoring its status as the preferred travel destination for Indian tourists.

According to DET data, Dubai welcomed a record-breaking 17.15 million international overnight visitors in 2023, reflecting a remarkable 19.4 percent growth compared to the previous year. This surge in tourist arrivals underscores Dubai's enduring appeal as a global travel hub.
